Rates & Policy
PORTOFINO Beach Resort offer various types of accommodations. All our prices are in US Dollar, per night, based on double occupancy and include daily Continental Breakfast, meet and greet in San Pedro Town at the airstrip or water taxi terminal, transfer to the Resort by boat and a tropical welcome cocktail upon arrival. Free usage of internet and Water Sports equipment are available on site. Daily Housekeeping service is also provided. Beach service covers beach raking and cleaning every morning and arrangement of all hammocks and lounge chairs. Drinks service also extends to the beach for all guests.

BEACH CABANAS (12x24ft)
With handcrafted thatched roofs and great tropical views of the Caribbean Sea/pool, our newly renovated beach cabanas capture coastal style, showcasing the best of seaside décor in a tastefully rustic design. Each offers a king size bed with luxurious duvet covers. Beautiful hardwood floors flow through the room opening up to a shared porch with a hammock and chairs for relaxing. All the Cabanas are non smoking however smoking is allowed on the porch.

Our lovely beachfront units offer unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea. These rooms, like our beach cabanas, combine serene hues of blues to infuse elegance into their casual design. Beautiful hardwood lines the ceiling and floors. Each offers a king size bed with luxurious duvet covers. There is only two of this room type and they are located side by side, with a connecting door and a shared porch with a hammock and chairs for relaxing. These rooms are on the first floor of a two-story building. These units are non smoking however smoking is allowed on the porch.

TREETOP SUITES (24x24ft)
Treetops are stunning suites that are elevated on the second floor. Massive picture windows line the front of these suites, letting in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea that seamlessly meets the clear blue skies. French doors open to a large private balcony with chairs, hammocks and a table where you can enjoy private dining.
A marvelous hand thatched palapa roof ascends 18 feet in the air and beautiful exotic wooden floors showcase natural beauty and create a dramatic effect. A custom made Bamboo king size bed draped with decorative netting and layered with luxurious duvet covers, is the centerpiece of this room. Large spacious bathrooms feature large rain shower heads and his and her sinks.

HONEYMOON SUITE (28x30)
Offering 800 sq feet of interior space, The Royal Orchid Suite is a magnificent suite located on the second floor, facing the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Featuring massive glass floor to ceiling windows, a large private balcony with hammocks and chairs, the suite captures postcard vistas of azure waters, the Belize Barrier Reef, and cruising watercraft. Mosquito netting drapes a four-poster bamboo King Size bed in classic island fashion. Its hand thatched palapa cathedral ceiling is nothing less than stunning. Beautiful hardwood floor flows throughout the entire room. Spacious private bathroom with walk-in jungle rain shower feature stunning his and hers hand painted talavera sinks surrounded by beautiful concrete counter top. This suite features a large French window that faces the lush tropical palms outside. BEACH FRONT MANSION
For Groups, Family and Friends
This beautiful 4 bedroom beach front villa consists of 2 floors and is located right on the beach facing the glistening Caribbean Sea. The beauty of the Beach Front Mansion comes from the architectural details of the home, that were inspired by the old traditional colonial homes – simple Belizean elegance, spacious floor plan, large front porches with hand carved wooden chairs, Mahogany wooden French windows and doors with unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea.
This fascinating air-conditioned beach home sleeps up to 6 people on the first floor and up to 4 people on the second floor. This is the perfect beachfront home for families or groups of friends that want to be together.
The main floor (Beach Level offers 1,200 square feet of inviting interior space which includes a spacious living area with a flat screen TV, a kitchenette that is open to the dining area, spacious bathroom with double sinks and hot and cold rain shower, and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is complete with a built in closet and a king size bed facing picture windows that offer outstanding views of the Caribbean Sea. The second bedroom has a small closet a queen sized bed. There is also the possibility of adding an extra twin bed in the nook of the hand carved wooden staircase leading to the connecting door on the second floor.
The top floor measures 800 square feet with a fully equipped kitchenette, a cozy dining and living area with flat screen Cable TV, a spacious bathroom with hot and cold rain shower and two bedrooms, each containing one queen sized bed. This level not only features a full length balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea as the main level (beach level), but also has a spacious back porch (400 square feet) from which you can watch the beautiful sunsets.
This beautiful Beach Front Villa can be rented as a whole or as two separate levels depending on the size and particular needs of each family or group.

Although we do serve lobster out of season (February 14th through June 15th), we cannot include it in the Grand Meal Plan; there will be a surcharge. | ||

OPERATIONAL POLICY
BOOKING:
A 50% deposit is required for a confirmed reservation.
Full payment is expected 30 days (60 days in peak season) prior to the guest's arrival.
Rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice until the deposit has been received and reservations are confirmed.
CANCELLATION:
Any cancellation 60 days (90 days in peak season) or more prior to arrival will be accepted and a full refund of all deposits will be made. For all cancellations accepted and refunded that were paid by credit card, we reserve the right to withhold 5% of the amount paid to cover credit card fees administrative costs.
Unfortunately we can not offer refunds within the cancellation periods as a result any reason whatsoever, including airlines delays, strikes, political unrest, weather conditions, travel advisories, acts of god, hurricanes or personal emergencies. To safeguard against such unforeseen problems we strongly recommend to take out travel insurance. We will however depending on circumstances and season try to work with you to reschedule if permitted.
PAYMENT:
We accept VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS and MASTERCARD.
We accept company and personal cheques into our bank account, but the amount of the cheque must be fully cleared through our account before reservation is confirmed and/or before the start of the 30-day period.
On all cancellations on amount paid by credit card, we reserve the right to withhold 5% of the amount to cover credit card charges.
CHANGES:
Should a guest wish to cancel a reservation and transfer the booking to another date, we will make every effort to do this without incurring a cancellation charge, but this will be subject to availability and season.

HURRICANE POLICY:
Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for cancellations as a result of weather conditions, travel advisories, acts of god, and hurricanes, therefore we strongly encourage the purchase of Travel Insurance in order to minimize any potential financial loss, as Portofino Beach Resort is under no legal obligation to offer any form of compensation related to any storm event.
By purchasing insurance you would protect your travel investment and we're sure you realize travel insurance is readily available. However, we are not associated with any insurance companies and do not sell insurance policies.
In the event of an evacuation due to a storm or hurricane, the following policy is offered as a gesture of goodwill and without prejudice.
Early Departure: In-house guests have the option of checking out early and unused nights may be used towards a future stay, based on availability.
Relocation: We will assist our guests wherever possible to find alternative accommodations elsewhere in the country. However, Portofino is not responsible for any financial consequences of the same, including, but not limited to transportation arrangements such as ferries, domestic and international flights. Unused nights may be used towards a future stay, based on availability.
Rescheduling: Guests that have not checked in will be allowed to reschedule within one year of original arrival date, based on availability.
We have the full right to evacuate the resort if demanded or recommended by local authorities during the approach of a tropical storm, hurricane or other forecasted natural disasters. It is advised to check www.nhc.noaa.gov and www.hydromet.gov.bz for weather updates prior to your trip.
Unused nights can be rescheduled within one year of evacuation date. In no case will these dates include our Peak Season (December 22nd, 2019 - January 5th, 2020). Space is subject to availability and rate protection will only apply to the number of original nights and number of guests booked.
This policy may be subject to change or may be discontinued without notice.
